Lil Wayne attempts at Guinness-World Record on Facebook..

Lil Wayne and his Young Money cohorts have made a lot of noise in the media in the past year but now the New Orleans native wants the spotlight in an entirely different arena – by getting himself entered into the annals of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Social Media and technology news outlet Mashable broke a story on how cookie company Oreo set out to attempt a world record for the most Facebook “likes” in a 24 hour period on their fan page. Weezy, who has a whopping 20 million fans on his Facebook fan page, made a post challenging Oreo’s efforts. Lil Wayne posted, “[E]veryone, please "Like" this post. I'm trying to break the Guinness World Record for most "Likes" on a post in 24 hours. Let's get it!!!”
Mashable also reported that Lil Wayne had the good fortune of having a four hour jump on the cookie giant but also added that Wayne’s pleas for the Facebook adulations may be in vain as it’s not known if the rapper properly registered with Guinness authorities in the same manner Oreo did.
Showing surprising social media savvy with the assistance of his digital manager Mazy Kazerooni, Wayne’s world takeover seems nearly imminent. Earlier in the year however, Weezy’s Twitter account was hacked for a second time and a series of embarrassing tweets from the perpetrator ensued causing Wayne to step away from Twitter. With his growing Facebook presence, it may not be necessary for Tunechi to return to the fast moving “microblogging” network.
